Yes, you can have a basic medical check-up! To get this done, you can either access the MiSanitas app with your private user, or you can directly call your preferred GP to schedule an appointment. During the consultation you can ask your physician to prescribe any necessary basic tests for a check-up. It depends on the plan you decide to go with. Typically, our health plans require waiting periods for different procedures and medical services, which apply from the policy start date. Each plan has specific waiting periods (“carencias” in Spanish) that are stipulated in the terms and conditions of every healthcare plan before hiring. In the case of dental care, emergency assistance abroad or life-threatening emergencies, waiting periods do not apply. From the moment your policy is activated, you will receive urgent healthcare support from day 1 of your hired cover, ensuring prompt and vital medical assistance when you need it the most.
